  "Coming Out Dinner

         and Awards"

Every year in October GLOBE hosts a Coming Out Dinner around Coming Out Day (October 11th)

In 2004 a very successful dinner was held at the Westminster Hills Presbyterian Church in Hayward

Those honored were"

• The "Community Award" to Barbara Williams "Drama Mama" for her direction of "The Laramie Project" in Newark
• The "Pyror Conrad " to Paul Clifford for his leadership of PFLAG in the Fremont/Newark/East Bay

• The "Outstanding Community Award" to Assemblyperson Mark Leno for his leadership and legislation in the California Assembly
